Stanford Enrichment Learning Academy (SELA) is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization committed to training, promoting, and advocating for women and girls achieve success in Financial Literacy, Affordable Housing, Entrepreneurship, Career Development and Leadership.

We promote awareness of Career Opportunities in fields where Women and girls are currently and historically under-represented.

We strive to develop potential of undeserved Women and girls for effective leadership and participation in financial opportunities and careers.

Our History

Women and Girls

Our vision is to promote awareness of Career Opportunities in fields where Women and girls are under-represented. . Since its inception, SELA has been actively involved in numerous program initiatives. One of our first is SELA Women Tech Careers Forum. Our commitment to has included sponsoring an Annual Senior Service program where girls are invited to learn about technology and entrepreneurship projects.

SELA has it’s origin in training women on technology Corporate Training projects in an effort to successfully implement technology installations. The initial group of Women trainees worked on projects for companies such as Black Box Network Services, Siemens Communications Network, Port Authority and other Fortune 500 and 1000 companies.

SELA has partnered with companies that work with NJ Dept of Labor Dept.Training Provider One-Stop program to encourage women and recent grads to pursue in demand tech jobs. This is done thru our Tech Careers in Demand Fair were we endeavor to leverage corporate and government partnerships to advocate for Girls, Women

Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship are ongoing initiatives that present excellent opportunities to learn the fundamentals. These building blocks fosters self confidence and determination.
